OPEN CALL AUDITIONS & CONTEST
Actors, Dancers, Live Musicians, DJs, Models & Machinimatographers
"Shining Star Auditions"
February 17, 2012.
Digital Arts Talent Agency is looking for you! Live Musicians, DJs, Dancers, Machinimatographers, Actors & Models are welcome to audition and compete in the Digital Arts Talent Agency's first "Shining Star" competition.
This audition and competition will span eight days (February 18th - February 25rd) with the semi-finals and winner announced on February 25th.
The schedule for auditions, and requirements for each talent area, are as follows:
Saturday, February 18, 2012 --> 6pm slt - 8pm slt --> DJs
---------------> Requirements
--------------------> 1. Have a notecard prepared with the following information:
A. Your SL Name
B. Your Display Name
C. Your Stream URL
--------------------> 2. Have a 15 minute prepared demonstration of your skills and genre of music, including any intros or bumpers.
Sunday, February 19, 2012 --> 6pm slt - 8pm slt --> Dance
---------------> Requirements
--------------------> 1. Have a notecard prepared with the following information:
A. Your SL Name
B. Your Display Name
C. Your Stream URL for any music you will use for your performance
--------------------> 2. Can be single or group dance performance (If group, please include all group members SL names and display names on notecard)
--------------------> 3. Have wardrobe prepared prior to your performance
--------------------> 4. Have two (2) dances prepared of various styles of dance. Audition should be a maximum of 10 minutes in length.
Monday, February 20, 2012 --> 6pm slt - 8pm slt --> Acting
---------------> Requirements
--------------------> 1. Have a notecard prepared with the following information:
A. Your SL Name
B. Your Display Name
C. Full Permission Headshot
--------------------> 2. Have two (2) monologues prepared prior to performance
--------------------> 3. There will be a cold read provided with direction by the Head Judge
Tuesday, February 21, 2012 --> 6pm slt - 8pm slt --> Machinimatography
---------------> Requirements
--------------------> 1. Have a notecard prepared with the following information:
A. Your SL Name
B. Your Display Name
--------------------> 2. Have approximately 3-5 minutes of sample footage of work to showcase for your audition that shows your style, genre and ability range
--------------------> 3. Have your YouTube link prepared, prior to your audition, which will be able to be displayed and played in-world.
Wednesday, February 22, 2012 --> 1:00pm slt - 3:00pm slt --> Live Musicians
---------------> Requirements
--------------------> 1. Have a notecard prepared with the following information:
A. Your SL Name
B. Your Display Name
C. Your stream URL to plug into the land for your audition
--------------------> 2. Two (2) songs prepared for audition (preferably 1 of them an original, if possible)
(Even if you have a current manager, you are welcome to enter this contest. If you win, you will NOT have to rid yourself of your current manager. Digital Arts Talent Agency is NOT wanting to manage your career, we are an Agency to facilitate the needs of our venue owners and event planners with the talent they require.)
Thursday, February 23, 2012 --> 4pm slt - 6pm slt --> Models

--------------------> 1. Have a notecard prepared with the following information:
A. Your SL Name
B. Your Display Name
C. Full Permission Headshot
--------------------> 2. Be Runway ready!
--------------------> 3. Have three (3) outfits of choice prepared for your audition. (casual, formal and swimwear)
Saturday, February 25, 2012 --> 4pm slt - 6pm slt --> Semi-Finals
If you make it to this level, requirements from auditions carry to this level as well. Please have different material prepared from your initial audition. By Invite Only.
Saturday, February 25, 2012 --> 6:30pm slt --> Winner announced
*****ALL competitors must be in-world voice ready and, if applicable and indicated in requirements, have stream prepared for their audition.*****
